Of stylised foliate design, composed of cabochon emerald, citrine, and sapphire stylised leaves, embellished with clusters of cabochon ruby 'berries' each accented with a circular-cut diamond, mounted upon yellow gold 'branches', suspending a pear-shaped emerald drop, circa 1950, French assay mark for gold, maker's mark for Grœné & Darde. Accompanied by a certificate of authenticity from Olivier Baroin No. 170214 stating that the brooch was made between 1942 and 1955. Height 5.9cm.

Accompanied by a certificate from the GCS laboratory stating; the two emeralds weighing approximately 36 carats are of Colombian origin and display signs of moderate amount of oil in fissures; the sapphire weighs approximately 13.5 carats is of Sri Lankan (Ceylon) origin and displays no signs of treatment; the rubies weigh approximately 10 carats, are of Burmese origin and display no signs of treatment.

Note: Incorporating two of Suzanne Belperron's classic styles, the cabochon gem and the foliate motif, this brooch is an excellent example of her inimitable design. 6cm high, 3.5cm wide.
