Designed as an oval plaque embellished with a micro mosaic depicting a bust of Minerva 'en grisaille' in profile in the manner of the Roman Parian marble statue of Athena Giustiniani or Giustiniani Minerva (now housed in the Vatican in Rome) or the Athena of Velletri (now housed in the Louvre in Paris), upon a pale background, circa 1800, set within a gilt metal easel. Attributed to the school of Giacomo Raffaelli.
