Of geometric design, centring on an oval-shaped carved emerald weighing 93.65 carats, to a strap-style bracelet pavé-set with brilliant- and baguette-cut diamonds, late 1930s, signed Trabert Hoeffer Mauboussin and numbered, mounted in platinum. Accompanied by a certificate from GCS stating that the polished and carved emerald weighing 93.65 carats has minor to moderate amounts of oil in fissures and is from the Ural (Russia).
Note: An exemplary piece of American Art Deco 'Hollywood' jewellery, and a celebration of the collaboration between Trabert & Hoeffer and Mauboussin from 1936 - 1953, this bracelet combines the unbridled glamour of wealthy America and the stylistic flair of a historic Parisian Jewellery House. It is very much in the style of voluminous cabochon emeralds within starkly Modernist diamond designs famously worn in Hollywood circles by Marlene Dietrich and Ann Warner.
