The ridged bronze torque, embellished with geometric motifs composed of concentric curves and lines, Carpathian Basin (Hungary), circa 800 B.C. ex collection William Talbot Ready (1857 - 1914), 19th Century Label stuck to the inside of the bangle reading "Bronze Armilla from the of Mr W Ready, Rathbone Place, W. Price 360. 12 July 1886.
Note: William Talbot Ready started as a restorer and curator at the British Museum, leaving his post to become a dealer in classical coins in 1886 when he took over the company Rollin and Feuardent. His father and two of his brothers also worked at the British Museum as restorers.
