Hand carved and chased from steel and inlaid with pure gold tesserae. Total weight: 1081g

This wall sculpture is a distillation of the emotions of visiting the Mausoleum of Galla Placidia in Ravenna, Italy. Moved by this ancient sacred space and its vaulted ceilings richly decorated in mosaics, Brush strove to recreate the luminosity of these colourful tesserae. Indeed. This sculpture celebrates both this sacred space and the reverence human kind has always had for gold itself. Its inimitable hue brought to you and projected onto where it hangs as though it were a magical capsule.
